On Friday 7th August, the Josh Evans Trust Fund booked us a trip to the Bridgwater Play Barn for a morning of soft play.
The Play Barn kindly gave us a discount and allowed us to book the whole venue out so it would just be families living with diabetes for two hours. This allowed us to sit together and have a chat to different people while the children burnt off some energy in the 6 weeks holidays.

We had a few lost socks, a pair of lost glasses, some children stuck on the slides and lots of red and sweaty faces, but they all had lots of fun! (not to mention a few hypo alarms buzzing). They even managed to get a few of the adults climbing around and jumping in the ball pit.

It was lovely to see some families who have been to previous socials as well as some new faces. Everyone took the opportunity to have a chat with each other and the diabetic team whether this was about diabetes, recent or upcoming holidays or just what is happening in their life currently.

A massive thank you to everyone who turned up and to the Josh Evans Trust Fund for giving us the opportunity to meet one another.
